Lüning was our new band at the beginning of the 2010s. And Lüning was the band with which we lost our way a bit conceptually. We, that was Sebastian Lindner (sometree), Tim Kaufmann (Nique), Daniel Spindler and Florian Lüning (Delbo). We built ourselves an extra-large drum kit with two people sitting opposite each other to operate it. It looked super cool and it was insanely fun to play on it. We gathered around it to warm up to its energy. But above all, we tried – with everything we had in our hands, what we could do and what we were more or less good at – to come out with some kind of "music to dance to".

It didn't work. Not really. All we played together was knotted post-rock banging or 5/4 melancholy again. We just couldn't get to the point. What we lacked was time. Our lives were just moving on to something new at different points. We were always tired. So very tired. So we started looking at it from the other side. We took everything in, tiny bits, fragments, loose ideas, threw them around, turned them upside down. Underneath the noise, we slowly worked our way towards what this band could be.

Completely unexpected, Flo died in May 2012. We didn't continue the band without him.

We finally stumbled across these files again in the first Corona lockdown in 2020. And we were pleasantly surprised that the music in them can be listened to well, regardless of how it was actually meant. And that, contrary to our impression at the time, it actually also makes something like a picture. We asked Tobias Siebert to mix the pieces and brush them to his own taste of cultivated noise. He agreed immediately.

And now, here we are. With this strangely flickering, silly, melancholy, nonsensical, heartfelt music. Which nobody needs. Which we could definitely use.
